Christmas lights decorate the whole town, making walks through the streets more colorful and the big tree that at the stroke of every hour rings and comes alive with its lights.
There are so many events that Sorrento has prepared “M’illumino d’Inverno” for this year; starting with the puppet shows that every weekend in Piazza Tasso will entertain the youngest, arriving at the Enchanted Garden at Villa Fiorentino where from December 7 to January 6 it will be possible to immerse oneself in Christmas Markets, varied entertainment and even attend an exhibition of nativity scenes.

Amalfi, like other towns during Christmas on the Amalfi Coast, lights up for the holidays, from Sant’Andrea’s Cathedral to the streets surrounding the town, making it resemble a nativity scene. Adding to the latter statement are the melodies that bagpipers will play during the days of the holidays.

Minori, Cetara and Atrani: the lights that illuminate the Amalfi Coast at Christmas
Towns characteristic for being overlooking the sea, Minori, Cetara, and Atrani in the winter decorate themselves with lights, nativity scenes, and traditional melodies during the holidays.
Cetara’s lights have been on since the beginning of November and each year have a different theme: for this 2022/2023 edition, bringing the streets to life are marine elements, representing the town.
Atrani is illuminated differently from previous ones: in fact, it is not only drawings or various decorations that are lit. The “Lights of the Borgo” are real colored beams that are also reflected on the sea below, creating an unmissable spectacle for anyone.
